[DARE #1] Get Unstuck - Write a Love Letter [DARE #1] Get Unstuck Write a Love Letter Introducing a daring  Sunday series meant to embolden you so that you start  spending more time enjoying life instead of just enduring life. There are 52 Sundays in 2014.14 are left INCLUDING the one on September 28th.That means you had 38 chances to reset your circumstances. So, how did you net out?A great way to judge your efforts is by how you feel on Sunday during the late afternoon.According to a  UK survey, thats when our anxiety around the upcoming work week starts!Actually, around 4:13 pm.So right nowAre you dreading your Monday morning commute? Are you irritated because your boss just emailed youand its not even Monday, yet?Are you thinking to yourself really, is this how I am supposed to spend the next 20 years? Are you reaching for a sugary treat to combat your stress over the upcoming week?In a nutshell, do you feel anxiety in the pit of your belly, every s-i-n-g-l-e Sunday afternoon? If yes, then lets rethink Sundays.  All these neg ative emotions and coping mechanisms really arent getting us ANYWHERE.Hey, Ive been there too!If we dont change our life experience then how can we expect the next generation to have a better life experience? They are watching us.And personally, I rather clean a septic tank than see my sons feel negative emotions every start of the work week?So here is my plan and I want you to join me.Each Sunday in 2014, I will suggest a bold step for you to take precisely on Sunday afternoon i.e. during your witching hour.My ideas will come in different forms such as an exercise, inspiring video, probing questions, something funny to give you an outlet, a case study or lesson based on client engagementsetc. The common thread is that they are meant to help you make the ultimate shift from enduring life to enjoying life more of your waking hours. Here is exercise 1:Write a brief professional love letter to a senior leader in your industry.  Make sure it is not self-serving at all.Focus on encouraging them.Dont expect any business in return nor a job.Ensure its edited.Say something insightful.Use LinkedIn as a possible way to reach out to that personOr Google themOr Tweet them directlyIf they are a senior thought leader then you can find them so make it todays goal to do so.  The point is to find someone you admire and start engaging with them.  The point is also to channel your energy grieving on Sunday towards changing the course of your future Sundays.Join me on my mission to change the Sunday Blues by focusing on Sunday To Dos!Now its your turn, let me know how completing this exercise sparked progress in your career because moving forward is something very real that we CAN do during the next 14 Sundays remaining in 2014.-Melissa
